HORSHAM, Penn. (Oct. 29, 2024) – CRC Industries invites attendees of the 2024 SEMA and AAPEX trade shows in Las Vegas, Nevada, to visit their booths from Nov. 5 – 8. Automotive enthusiasts and industry professionals can explore CRC’s charitable initiatives, custom vehicle builds, product demonstrations, and meet their brand ambassadors, including racing icons Clay Millican and Jeff Lutz, and influencer Shaun Umscheid, the “What Nooo Waaay” guy. CRC will be at booth #3816 at AAPEX and booth #24577 at SEMA.
Charitable Causes
At SEMA, CRC will unveil its annual car project, a cherry red 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, featuring a hydrogen-powered engine, which will go for auction to raise scholarship funds for the next generation of tradespeople. The ‘57 Chevy will be auctioned to the public in late 2025 or early 2026, with all funds raised directly benefiting CRC’s Build for the Future scholarship program. Build for the Future, in partnership with TechForce Foundation, is designed to alleviate financial burdens and help send prospective tradespeople to trade school. Earlier this year, CRC auctioned a super-charged 2006 Pontiac GTO that funded 10 scholarships for the next generation of tradespeople.
Both SEMA and AAPEX attendees can contribute to CRC’s mission by donating as little as $5, with CRC matching donations up to $10,000 during the event.
Custom Builds
SEMA attendees can watch the unveiling of the ’57 Chevy at a press conference at the CRC booth on Tuesday, Nov. 5, from 3:30 p.m. to 3:50 p.m. The restored ‘57 Chevy features red and black interiors and a special twist – a hydrogen-powered, Edelbrock-supercharged Gen3 HEMI engine built by Mike Copeland, retired GM engineer and CEO of Arrington Performance. Assembled by Mike Copeland and renowned racers, Clay Millican (NHRA Top Fuel World Champion Driver) and Jeff Lutz (“Street Outlaws”/Lutz Race Cars), this vehicle will be the first hydrogen-powered hot rod to be auctioned to the public. Other features include a TCI automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes. The car will be at CRC’s SEMA booth for the duration of the show.
At AAPEX, CRC will showcase a custom Harley-Davidson motorcycle built by Shannon Aikau of Counts Kustoms.
Customer Demos
Trade show attendees can see live product demonstrations for CRC’s SmartWasher®, a water-based, bio-remediating parts washer, and Evapo-Rust® Heavy-Duty Rust Remover, a water-based soaking solution that eliminates rust without harming paint or plastics.
Meet the Celebrities
CRC invites show attendees to meet racing legends Clay Millican and Jeff Lutz, along with brand representatives Emily Reeves from “Flying Sparks Garage” podcast, and Shaun Umscheid, the “What Nooo Waaay” guy, at its SEMA booth. These ambassadors will be available for meet-and-greet sessions and autograph signings throughout the week.
In addition, Shannon Aikau from Count’s Kustoms and “Counting Cars”, an American reality television series shown on the History Channel, will be at CRC’s AAPEX booth on Tuesday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
About CRC’s Build for the Future Scholarship Program
CRC Industries launched the Build for the Future scholarship program in cooperation with TechForce Foundation to inspire young men and women to explore a rewarding career in a technical trade and empower them through strong community, scholarships, and career placement programs. CRC sponsored the ’57 Chevy build to provide TechForce with funds for individual student scholarships. Later in 2025 or early 2026, the car will be placed up for auction, with 100% of the proceeds directly benefiting TechForce. At a minimum, 10 scholarships will be awarded: five for industrial/welding, and five for automotive education, with at least three awarded to women. More information on the program can be found at crcbuildforthefuture.com.
